How the Industry Awards Work
Industry Award Eligibility
Companies, agencies, and PR firms that produce innovative work in social media are invited to enter their work in the Shorty Industry Awards. To be eligible, the entry must have been released in 2010. Spec work and incomplete work are not eligible.
It is possible for a Twitter account to win both a general Shorty Award and an Industry Award.
Unlike the general-interest Shorty Award categories, there is a fee to make a nomination in the industry categories. Nominations are made by completing the form in the Industry Awards section of the Shorty Awards website in the appropriate category. Unlike the general-interest Shorty Awards, a Twitter account is not required to enter the Industry Awards. Please provide accurate contact information so we can follow up on your entry, if needed.
It can be paid securely by credit card after clicking the “Enter Now” button. Sawhorse uses PayPal to process payments. Entry fees are non-refundable. The same project can be entered in multiple categories, but each entry requires a separate entry fee.
Nominations will be announced in February. Join our mailing list to stay updated.
The Shorty Industry Awards are exclusive awards for companies, agencies, and PR firms. Unlike the general Shorty Awards, the Industry Awards are not subject to public voting by the Twitter community. Instead, the winners will be selected solely by members of the marketing jury of the Real-Time Academy of Short Form Arts & Sciences, a diverse group of luminaries in the Internet, advertising, media, and entertainment industries.
The Winners The Industry Award winners will be announced at the highly-anticipated Shorty Awards ceremony in March 2011.
