We've met lots of really nice media people: sports pundits, journalists, club officials, but in sport it's the fans that count. Audience.

We have created no hashtags, but someone created #SWWU after seeing us and people often use our one word summary style. Homage.
How do you make your tweets unique?
We already used "Number followed by Fact" style in media, but added the sum up word to create a personality & occasional humour. #SWWU

Don't tweet for the sake of it, wait until you have interesting stuff to say, try to reply & tell your followers about good people to follow
How long can you go without a tweet?
Until we find something worth sharing. Quality is better than quantity. Selective.
What is one of the biggest misconceptions of Twitter?
That the number of people following is the most important factor governing quality of content. Tailored.

Because we provide unique sports facts in an entertaining & informative way, offering something different from regurgitated content. Source.

How do you decide what to tweet?
We spend all day coming up with sports facts & try to pick out some tasty morsels that we think will titillate our followers. Selective.
Why'd you start tweeting?
To make people aware of the Opta brand and to speak directly with football fans about the kind of content they enjoy. Sharing.
Has Twitter changed your life? If yes, how?
It has changed the way some people view football statistics and given us a chance to explain what we do better. Education.
